A new menu for Mardi Gras!

Hello, and Happy Weekend!

Did you know that next Tuesday is Mardi Gras? A few of this week's items are inspired by Mardi Gras, and by the cuisine of New Orleans.

SOUP

Mushroom Soup $6

PLATES

Millet with Roasted Purply-Red and Gold Beets and Sauteed Red Chard. A celebration of the colors of Mardi Gras: Purple for Justice, Green for Faith, and Gold for Power. Topped with Toasty Squash Seeds. $10

Dirty Rice: Traditionally, dirty rice is full of non-vegan bits. Ours is brown basmati rice mixed with lots of beautiful veggies, and homemade rice-oat sausage crumbles. So good! Stuffed into a roasted Acorn Squash half. $9

Roasted Hedgehog Potatoes served with Artichoke Hearts and Spanish Romesco Sauce (contains nuts.) $10

Hummus! Made from Raw, Sprouted Sunflower Seeds. Served with Celery and Carrots to dip. $9

BAKERY

Sweet Potato Corn Muffins $9 half dozen, $16 full dozen

King Cake! The traditional Mardi Gras King Cake is baked in a ring, with a nut or a small toy baby hidden inside one piece. Our variation is individual Apple Cakes. One of them has a whole almond baked inside! If it's yours, you win a free half dozen muffins next week! $6

Gluten Free Focaccia! Made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, infused with spices and herbs. So good! Great with a bowl of Mushroom Soup, or dipped in Sprouted Sunflower Seed Hummus! $6 for a nice hunk.
